Heart of the Wood — Privacy Policy

Oct 10, 2026

Who we are

Heart of the Wood is a mobile bookshop and reading community. This policy covers the Heart of the Wood app, published by Heart of the Wood Books, LLC of 1819 Rainbow Dr, Fort Collins, CO 80524, and developer, Sean Beal.

It explains what the app collects, why, who else sees it, and how to get your data removed. It applies to the iOS and Android apps. It does not cover our website or anything that happens in person at the shop.

If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use the app. If you've already signed up and change your mind, you can delete your account from inside the app at any time — see Deleting your account below.

App Use and Account Creation

The primary motivation for creating the app is to allow anyone with the app to see news posts about the bookshop and the upcoming events for the mobile bookshop including times and locations.

Please note that there is no account creation necessary to access and benefit from these features.

Other features including the Grimoire (user book collection and book search), Coven (Chat messaging in-app platform to discuss books and other topics), and profile customization does require account creation.
